Shelton Vineyards

Located near the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the lush Yadkin Valley this winery is one of a precious few in the southern states. The rolling hills provide the ideal drainage and climate for growing premium vineyard grapes.

Chardonnay ~ Bin 17, 0ur wine making staff was attracted to this bin because of tire lovely fruit flavors of pineapple and mango.. Wonderful with pasta, shellfish, chicken and sharp cheeses.

Merlot ~ Layers of blackberry jam,, blueberry, and vanilla flavors. Attractive floral notes with a hint of spice are backed by round tannins.

Cabernet Sauvignon ~ Supple with black cherry, anise, and dark chocolate notes on an excellent finish. Has coffee undertones and balanced acidity.

Madison Lee Red Blend ~ Smooth and supple with ripe wild berry, fresh cherry, and currant flavors. A mellow finish shaded by notes of toasty oak and a hint of spice.

Riesling ~ Clean and crisp, our Riesling displays green-apple and pear flavors. This lightly sweet wine has a bright acidity and a lingering apricot finish. Wonderful for entertaining.

Cabernet Franc ~ One of the parent grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon but is typically lighter in color and tannins Displays subtle notes of violet and plum. Spicy flavors linger over a slightly toasty finish.
